Any suggestion of preparation to shut down a house in Florida?

I have a house in central Florida. I only visit 2 times a year. The house is left vacant. I recently discover a lot of bugs (roaches, ants, who knows what else...) I wonder what can I do to prepare the house before I leave it vacant for the next 6 months.

One thing is to keep on the A/C even if you have it at a relatively high temperature setting. That will keep mold and mildew out of your clothing and furniture.

You could also have a quarterly professional exterminator comeby and treat the house.
