Is it our overbearing habit of demanding conformity from other cultures by threat of force?

Would the world be exponentially safer if America ceased it's caustic interference?

Would the so-called 'terrorists' suddenly decide they would choose life over self-sacrifice?

I think so. Don't you?

You are very much an AVERAGE LIBERAL. There is help available.

I just can't stop laughing at the absurdity of this rant.

The so called "terrorists" are exactly that. I'm very sorry that you do not believe in evil or terrorism. Anybody that can DELIBERATELY go somewhere and kill innocent people.....
are evil. Anybody that can DELIBERATELY go somewhere and kill innocent people and give credit to certain factions on many different occasions........are terrorists.
Those that believe that there is a fine line between right and wrong....have a choice to make. However, there are certain actions that are nowhere near that fine line.....and THAT distinguishes them as good or bad.
I don't know about an "overbearing habit", but Vietnam could've been avoided. Are we better for bullying a country that is bullying another? Absolutely not. In that, we are 100% wrong.
The world? ....would NOT be exponentially safer if we stopped intervening, that's the crazy part. BUT, if we sat back, idly by, and did nothing.....a force would eventually get larger and stronger than us and the senseless killings would get to our shores. None of us would be alive at that time, but it WOULD happen if we did nothing. The world would have people/factions that would attempt to conquer its way into absolute power. Most of those would be extinguished, with heavy loss of life.....but there's always that ONE time, when a faction succeeds.....that's when World Wars happen, and I think we know what the result of the next World War would consist of.
I believe that our heart is in the right place, but our head is up our ***. NOONE likes to be told what to do....and I'm not so sure about your "threat of force for conformity" either. There are far too many media outlets today for us to risk any type of harassment for OUR personal gain. We're trying to upkeep our "good guy" image.....even though it's a smoke and mirrors act sometimes.
And in answer to your last part.....no, I don't. The world is growing worse and worse each day.....and I hope my great grandkids have something to be proud of one day.....

I agree. The US of A possess an antagonizing mentality, whether intentional or not I will not comment upon, however there are numerous examples of the US of A having a 'knee-jerk' reaction to some innocent event that in the opinion of the US of A compromises their national security.

This reaction sends shockwaves through the world as the US of A primarly always adopts an agressive position as opposed to a diplomatic position and you have very much correctly stated their 'caustic interference'. Its a bit more that caustic, it is also arrogant to the extreme and this is what infuriates some other cultures. Other cultures are known to be of an 'extremist' nature and their reaction is often quite obvious to such arrogance, the US of A should be vastly experienced in being able to 'predict' the reactions. Hence adopting a more compatible behaviour would 'calm' potentially volatile situatiuons.

Well, evil is a subjective term. If by not believing in evil you mean you don’t believe in an evil entity that influences people and events then I agree. But to not believe in evil is to say you don’t believe in wrong, bad or injustice.

As for terrorism, what's there to believe? It exists. If you don’t agree with terrorism,, then most people would agree. Just as people who don’t agree with war have a lot of support. But if you don’t believe in war, then I have a number of wars that have occurred and are occurring that can prove these people wrong, just as I can sight instances of terrorism to prove that terrorism does exist.

As for your other questions:

Yes, the U.S. sticks it's nose in to too many peoples business. They do it here at home and they do it in other countries where we have no business being. I do agree we would mind our own business.

However, terrorists, especially in the Middle East don’t just bomb (or otherwise terrorize) Americans or even Western nations. They bomb their own towns because they don’t like their current leaders or the new political clement or some new law or whatever.

If the U.S. pulled out of the Middle East Today, terrorism would NOT go away. It jut wouldn’t have any direct affect on us...Or at least Middle Eastern terrorist wouldn’t have any affect. Don’t forget that the Oklahoma City Bombing was an American terrorist.

Yes, of course. All our troops must come home immediately. Close all bases on foreign lands and retreat to the safety of America. No one will bother us if we just mind our own business, right?
While we're at it, disband the military entirely since now that we aren't bullies, no one is going to mess with us, don't need military now.
Then if that works, we can make all our policemen janitors at elementary schools because if this works for terrorists, it should work right here at home with the criminals we have on our streets. Ooopps, shouldn't call them "criminals", not politically correct, let's call them Liberal Votes, yes, that's it.
Now with no military, no police force all the "Liberal votes" will get decent jobs and lead productive lives within the boundaries of "society".
Golly, I'm just chock full of ideas how we can reduce the stress on all the people out there who are just begging us to go home so they can quit killing themselves as suicide bombers and such. I could go on forever baby!

Refugio, I wanted to give you a thumbs up but, I think Bush IS a saint.

Like it or not, evil and terrorism do exist. I'd do agree, to a point, that we need a drastically different strategy to combat it. The strategy that we are using now is feeding the terrorist leaders both recruits and funding, while virtually ignoring border and port security.

You might as well not believe in rattle snakes, black widow spiders and cancer while you are at it.

How do you explain Ted Bundy, Sirhan Sirhan, Charles Manson or Tim McVeigh?

You, Madlibs and Tia all need to quit drinking the kool-aid. If you don't believe in evil go to darfur or look at some of the mass graves that have been discovered even in Iraq, and if that doesn't convince you, you really are an IDIOT.
