Some native possibilities would be flagfish, mosquitofish, least killifish (actully a livebearer), bluegill, red-eared sunfish, spotted sunfish, largemouth bass, pygmy sunfish, bluefin killifish, rainwater killifish, channel catfish, yellow bullhead, lined topminnow, sailfin molly, silversides, and swamp darters.

But being in a tropical area, and given the number of fish producing facilities and fish probably released illegally by owners, it's hard to tell what you might find! Just watch out for alligators and amphiuma.

You can plug your zip code into this link and find all types of wildlife from your area: http://www.enature.com/home/ Once you get to the results for your area, go to the "results" box and switch from "Birds" (where it always starts) to "Fish".
