This sounds like a small headgasket leak that is letting oil run out on the ground and engine coolant run into the oil jacket or one of the pistons/cylinders.

Likely more obvious in the cold winter temp's but it'll only worsen with time.

You could try adding some of that aftermarket stuff to the oil and coolant to see if this buys you some time. If the engine is very old with a lot of miles on it, I'd look at an engine swap before I spent a lot of money on a new head/head gasket job.

Good Luck!

The milky apearance is typical when there is condensation in the motor oil. THis happens often in cars taht are used in cold climates and often go on short trips.
The condensation of water builds up and makes a white foamy appearance. The reason it is typical on cars that only go on short trips is because the oil does reach a hot enough temperature to heat that water out of the oil and it builds and builds.
You could let your car warm up more often and or change oyur engine oil more often...... The milkyness of your oil isnt good for the long term life of your engine.....

Water causes the milky look, whether it be condensation or a leak. Check your oil level, way too much means real problems. Like mentioned, too many short trips will cause excess condensation. Best to drain your oil into a pan to determine how much water is there.

Bad news.
It sounds like you have blown your head gaskets and maybe cracked a head.
This is usually from overheating the engine.
