I just recieved an acer aspire 5315-2153 this christmas and so far am pleased with. However, the box says the computer has an 80 gig hard drive but when I look at the properties of the drive in my computer it says I have 2 disks each with about 32 gigs on them, so if it's 80 gigs where'd the other 20 gigs go, or am I looking at it completely wrong.

Sounds like they have it partitioned into two drives @ 40gb each. Windows won't recognize the whole 80gb usually only 76-78gb will be seen by Windows. But loosing 8gb sounds high to me you should see around 36-37gb on each partition. There's not another partition on the disk is there?

you probably have to delete some of the junk programs that comes with every new computer to free up some space, also remember that system programs and all will use some space,if you have vista that OS takes up a lot of space
