Come out of hiding you all LOL. I know you're out there. I know
many seniors don't exchange gifts anymore. But maybe there
is a handful that did anyway. Or at least, received some unex-
pectedly. Care to share?

My new interest is Native American carvings, I received a nice coastal salish king salmon carving. My sister snuck one of my son's famous pieces of art and had it glass framed for me. I do believe that was a tad more special than the salmon carving though. How observant am I? That picture was above my living room heater dial for a long time, I didn't notice it missing. I wondered why she seemed anxious to pick up my dry cleaning and drop it off at my house. I just thought she was extremely bored.
The framed artwork was unexpected. So was the digital camera. I have two now. Wadda ya gonna do eh?

Well I am only 51 and I did get 2 unexpected gifts, the only thing that I did get as a matter of fact since I live alone. I got 2 best answers today for Christmas. That was special to me and was unexpected too.

Having no family and living very modestly, I didn't expect much. What I got didn't cost a dime and is worth a fortune to me. A friend from church popped by yesterday, and in passing mentioned a website I had never heard of: The Cyber Hymnal. God bless him and Merry Christmas to you all!

I'm 51, so I'm a boomer. We got to go to our daughter's at the last minute for Christmas and that was a wonderful gift. We'd decided not to do much this year, but my husband unexpectedly gave me a gift card to my favorite dept. store so I can get a robe I'd been wanting also.---Luvs

It sounds like you're asking if anyone got a senior citizen as their really special gift...lol. I, for one, am glad I did not get a senior citizen as a gift. I prefer flannel pj's.

Shari and Sapphire, you look like twins ! I was very spoilt this year. We're getting married next week, and my partner gave me a lovely pair of earrings to wear on the day. No wonder I'm going to marry him , he is very thoughtful like that :-))
