My computer (a compaq, vista laptop) will randomly shut down! Sometimes its right when i start it....sometimes in the middle of something...and sometimes something will be loading and it'll just shut down!
It might be a virus...but could it be something else?

Random shutdowns w/o warning are usually hardware problems, such as bad RAM or an overheating processor. I would take it to a local computer shop to have it checked out.

It happens to all of us from time to time....sometimes, depending on the 'browser settings', a notice will come up saying that the system has encountered an 'unforeseen' problem & 'must' shut down! It's a verry frequent, annoying but routine 'glitch' in the systems which can be attributed primarily to use of a keyboard!
Don't worry, jest try to 'work around' & condition yerself to the reality that it will always be a factor in using a computer!
Best wishes
