No CDs, but I did get Pavement's "Slanted and Enchanted" and Arcade Fire's "Neon Bible" on vinyl, both of which I'm really pleased with. I already had both the albums on other formats, but it's nice having the records.

I also got a contribution towards a box set I bought for myself just before Christmas, Sigur Ros' "In a Frozen Sea", which is seven vinyls and a book.

And if it counts as a music DVD, the film "Once", which stars Frames frontman Glen Hansard and Czech musician Marketa Irglova. I highly recommend it.

Happy Christmas :)

Edit:
Did you like "Once"? What did you think of the music, have you ever listened to the Frames? They're one of my favourite bands, and the best Irish band bar none.

None. I just bought a couple albums near Christmas time if that counts.

I only listened to two so far.

Freak Out! by The Mothers of Invention. (Hilarious album and pretty good. I'm sure I'd like other Zappa stuff better though. Not his best guitar work I don't think. But still great.)

Kind of Blue by Miles Davis.

From Beale Street to Oblivion by Clutch.

If You Can Believe Your Eyes and Ears by The Mamas and the Papas. (Nice poppish album. The good pop of course.)

I got Tom Petty's new documentary...Runnin' Down A Dream. The box set has 4 discs. 2 are the documentary, 1 is the 30th anniversary concert in Florida and the 3rd is a CD of previously unreleased tracks (live versions of well known songs like Breakdown, American Girl and such...a lot are recordings of rehearsals). I haven't got to watch the documentary yet, but I've listened to the CD and watched the concert...makes me love Tom even more.

I also got a vinyl of B.B. King Live at the Regal and a CD of Art Gallery by the Artwoods among a few others.

No C.D's, everyone knows better than that. They would get me something I truly hated. In fact, the only thing I got apart from money was 'This Is Spinal Tap' given to me by my sister. My parents and I just finished watching it. Now my mother understands when I talk about how I want an amp that goes up to eleven, so I can be one louder, and that drummers have been known to spontaneously combust while playing on-stage. (wow that was a run-on sentence!)
