WoW question ( World of Warcraft )?

Question

I'm making a tauren character, but I can't decide whether I should be a Shaman or a Druid.
Which one is better, DPS wise? ( which one can kill things faster )

I found Druid to be very slow leveling up until you can change form, then it goes quick.

To get levels at the beginning I mostly played him on the weekends or evenings when lots of people were on. Then I could run thru some of the quests because everything in my way was already dead by other players.
