Not really..unless if you got raped...
although....if you are good enough to open your legs and let someone inside of you, then you should be good enough to bear a child and give it what it deserves...LIFE
If you dont want it, you can give it to an adoption agency, there is many couples DYING to be able to conceive.
I know most young girls have abortions because they say "my parents would kill me" or "they are going to say im a disgrace"
I disagree with that. Why didnt they think about that while having sex???
Why didnt they think that they were letting their family down by not following their traditions to stay a virgin till marriage..etc...
I hate girls that cant "HANDLE UP". Every child has the right to live their life,
Whoever gets abortion I think are not ready for sex because they are not ready for the consequences
Thats what I think....
EDIT:
Oh, well I guess if you mean because they have a risk of dying, I think its fine and no respect should be lost. But I would rather go the farthest I could with the baby, maybe a miracle happened, and we would both have the chance to live

There have been so many abortions that the chances are good that we all know someone who exercised her right under law and so ended her pregnancy. I don't think this should be looked at as light chit chat and public knowledge but as a serious and private issue. I feel badly that contraception was not successfully employed and this was decided upon after the fact. I do support the right to choose.
What I can't abide is a reliance on abortion as birth control instead of other means and for multiple pregnancies.
Even so, If I respect a woman who does what is best for her and her family in other areas, then I must understand that this is her choice, as well.
I worry about the mindset of someone who takes this medical procedure lightly.
Finally, It is not my business and it should not matter what I think about others' private lives. Hopefully, I can be respectful no matter what. I would try.
C. :)!!

You look like you are a man, so you can't fully understand what it would be like to be a woman.
I do , because although you do get women that just casually have abortions as a kind of contraception, for most women it is a hard descision.
I think also you need to be strong to go through with it for your best interests even if it is frowned upon. It is best to have an abortion early on than bring a child into a life that isn't loved and well cared for.

I don't respect drivers who endanger others even without causing an accident so I certainly don't respect women ("people" is the wrong term here) who intentionally and with premeditation kill the most helpless and innocent for no reason other than a pregnancy or birth is "inconvenient".
Women (and men) who kill their own children, whether born or unborn, are the lowest of the depraved and egocentric. This is even more so when they are using abortion as birth control. Such women are beneath contempt.

Well, I respect human beings, my respect would be untouched.
However, If the act of sex was conscentual, and there was no risk for her to deliver the baby, I would assume that she takes the concept of "responsibility for your actions" very lightly, because that's how they are when they abort, like it or not, specially with all contraceptive options around.
Although in my ideal world It wouldn't be any abortions at all, I'm pro-choice, so go away big bad feminist.

The abortion debate will go on forever. I don't "respect" people who choose that, but at the same time I understand the circumstances which might lead to being faced with that decision. What I REALLY do not respect is anyone who fails to use birth control, becomes pregnant, and the grandparents end up with the financial burden of raising the child born to their daughter, and essentially raising the child.

Manwae? You have lead us to believe by your responds you are in collage...correct? Do you see in the right hand corner where it says "check spelling"? Regardless if it made you sick please allow me to let you in an a secret...NO it is not pretty, but most of those things that are put out are exaggerated to hopefully get your attention so you will learn what a CONDOM is and how to use it. Is it any prettier to see a young child on the news beaten to death...everyday it happens. How about sexually abused? Sold? Abandoned? Unloved and cared for? So abortion is our choice for our bodies and even though sex is a 2 person contact sport most often it is the woman holding the bag alone.
We get screwed for the screwing as my mother has said.

I don't think it is any of my business. I may or may not agree with someone's choice to have an abortion but then again, I prefer staying out of it because I am not living that person's life and I don't know the circumstances.

Yes. Women who have abortions have them for a variety of reasons, but most can be summed up by either 1) not being able to care for the child or 2) not wanting to care for the child. Either way it is unfair to bring a child into one of these situations...both to the child, the parents, friends and family that unwanted children are often dumped on, and society as a whole which often financially supports these children or is impacted by the child's actions later in life.
Now, this is not to say that children who are wanted and properly cared for by their parents are not a burden on the above at times, but quite often the impact of these burdens are drastically reduced or do not occur at all.
