That's called gynecomastia. It's is fairly common in adolescent boys, because of hormones. It generally subsides within a few months, or a couple years at the most. If it doesn't and it continues to bother him he should talk to his doctor about possible treatments. Don't listen to those meanies who gave you a nasty answer. I'm sure it is very embarassing to him. Tell him to hang in there. :)

Yes, this is normal for boys entering puberty. One or both nipples may be involved.

They'll go away in time. It means he's starting puberty, that's all. Tell him congratulations - life is about to get a lot more real.

yeah, i had the same thing but only on the right side. it's from growing and a certain balance of testosterone and estrogen (you have both, just more testosterone) it'll go away eventually
