I received my IPod for Christmas and I'm loading songs on it. I'm not good at remembering artists names because I hear a song and I like or don't like it. In this case I can't remeber the artist or the songs names. Anyways, the first song is coming from the view point of a grandson singing about the day his grandparents eloped. The grandmother pined a note to a tree asking the grandfather to wait and she would be there as soon as her chores were done. At the end of the song the grandmother had died and the grandfather is asking the grandmother to wait for him until his work is done on Earth.

The second song is a daddy song. One part is about a little boy trembling after he got in trouble at school and waiting for the worse from his dad. At the end the boy had died but he is a man now and doesn't think he will go to heaven because of all the bad stuff he has done but God sings to him from a father view point.

My guess would be these:
Song # 1: "Love Me" by Colin Raye
Song #2: "Love Without End, Amen" by George Strait
Hope those are what you're looking for.

Part of the Chorus of the first song says," I'll wait for you, at Heavens Gate, I don't care, how long it takes, And I'll tell St. Pete, I can't come in, without My love, And My Best Friend. It.s Called, "Sweetheart I'll Wait For You" But I Don't Know The Artist, Ask Your Local D.J., I'm sure they can tell You. / The Second Song Is about "A Fathers Love", That Might Actually be the title, But Again, I Don't Recall The Artist

I also agree with Audiophile. Both are great classic songs. I love them both. If I had an Ipod they would definately go on it.

Merry Christmas
