the general equation is y= mx + c

form fist eqn by substituting y = -7 and x = 7
7m + c = -7 --------(1)

form the second eqn by substituting y=-3 and x = -4

-4m + c= -3 ----------(2)

solving the simultenous eqn

m = -4/11 and c =-17/11

substitute these values in y =mx +c

y = -4x/11 - 17/11

11y = -4x -17

first find the slope = y2-y1/x2-x1

-3-(-7)/-4-7 = 4/-11

y=-4/11x + b

-7 = -4/11(7) + b
b= 11/4

so equation = y= (-4/11)x + 11/4
