I really want 2 be a 2nd & 3rd grade reading teacher when i get older. I make powerpoint "lesson plans" so i can practice. so as one of my christmas gifts, i asked my parents 4 a white board & markers (it's a magnetic one if that helps), i got them. So to all you teachers, how can i organize my white board when im "practicing", any practice activities that i can do with the white board/powerpoint, any sites that could help me, also suggestions in general are appreciated.

since it is not a smartboard, this may not work, but do a google search for smartboard reading activities and see if you can download the software for the smartboard. there are all sorts of activities available. also, for 2nd-3rd grade, you would want to focus on reading strategies (predictions, summarizaing), skills (elements of a story, cause/effect, fact/opinion), and decoding (phonics). maybe look up some graphic organizers to help teach lessons on these topics.

OK, the first thing you need to do is amass knowledge. That means learning the language, spelling, grammar. AND that means using appropriate language in appropriate venues. IM language/jargon/abbreviations are fine for IM'ing or texting, but NOT in other places. How much more effort does it take to write to rather than 2 in your question? I'm glad to hear you have a goal and are working on fulfilling it now. We need dedicated teachers. Find out if your school has teacher's assistants during your study period, to help a lower grade classroom. Even if they don't have such a program, maybe you can arrange to spend your free period helping a lower grade teacher in your schooL?

Well make some charts for one...
make "practice" correculims for the grades you want to be teaching
go to teacher supply stores and buy some stickers and maybe a quadrant plane chart...
also "playing school" with cousins, brothers/sisters, neighbor kids, friends little siblings is also good practice
well good luck in the teaching buisness

There are some good books out there on general presentation techniques. Any of those would help.
Or if you look for "teaching" or "presentation" websites you will find good tips and ideas.
Think of a whiteboard as a big notepad - you write on it and add to it as you talk about a subject.
So one tip for you - pick something you know about and teach someone (could be your parents or even the dog) about it. As you talk, draw pictures or write the main ideas on the whiteboard.
Use black or blue for main points.
Use red and green to highlight or underline ideas, or to link one word or idea to another.

When you get a little older, you might be interested in going on a service trip to countries in Africa and Asia where you can teach little kids English or how to count and stuff. Google some charities - it's a great way to sen your summer.

1. Use proper grammar and spelling.
2. Use your search engine and look up "reading lesson plans". (use the quotes)
3. Pay attention in class as to how your teacher uses his/her white board to assist students (both you, and others who may be struggling).

you shouldn't plan your life out at 13 years old. You mind will change by the time you graduate high school.
