What do you want from it? Maybe a 1983 claim against the store manager, but the cost to bring suit is not worth the damages that could be awarded. Sometimes sh`t happens and you just got to let it go. I would just tell as many people not to shop at that store.

If you didn't steal anything and the store manager had you searched you can take legal actions against the store. It's against the law to falsely accuse anyone for shoplifting. You might need to hire an attorney! Make the Manager accountable for her actions towards you. File a company complaint and pursue legal actions. Your rights were violated. When the officer detained you you should have asked for the report. To falsely detained someone is against the law. It's not the officer's fault, he was just doing his job but the store manager was in the wrong. You can't just assume someone stole someone, or think someone stole something. You have to witness the entire theft. If she saw you conceal merchandise and you walked out the store without paying for it then you are stealing but if they found nothing then that false arrest or false detainment.

Contact the stores corporate office and file a complaint also say you wish to be compensated. The result should be a gift card but thats about all you can expect

Jacquelyn is a moron, the police did nothing wrong, learn to read.
I would ask the manager for some kind of token gift or rebate just for the pain he put you through. But don't expect any money.

Well, if certain people that saw you know who you are, and you start noticing people treating you differently - especially if you start losing business cause you are labeled "Thief" (i don't know what business your cards entail) , THEN perhaps - if you have proof of this , you may secure a lawyer. If THAT happens , i suppose you'd have a case , and remember to subpoena the video evidence. Other than that, you'll just have to swallow your pride , cause it happens to all of us....

if you seriously doubt that you can get something out of that then you're crazy. Go see a bunch of lawyers and see what they think tho... theres one bound to know.

Go home, take that little chicken out of your pants, and cook it up. Enjoy knowing that you got away with it.

"What is my legal recourse if any"

None.

Mistakes happen. Doesn't give you grounds for a successful lawsuit.
