You could argue about this all day, but how about this group:

C Johnny Bench
1B Lou Gehrig
2B Rogers Hornsby
SS Honus Wagner
3B Mike Schmidt
OF Babe Ruth
OF Willie Mays
OF Ty Cobb

Bench: Stan Musial, Ted Williams, Hank Aaron, Joe Morgan, Brooks Robinson, Pete Rose, George Brett, Mike Piazza

P Cy Young, Sandy Koufax, Bob Gibson, Christy Mathewson, Grover Alexander, Whitey Ford, Greg Maddux, Roger Clemens, Rollie Fingers, Mariano Rivera

That's close to 25 players, might be 1 or 2 off, and you could argue about a lot of people that AREN'T on this team. They'd be pretty good, though, this group.
