8. (y / xy - x / xy) / (y^2 / x^2y^2 - x^2/x^2y^2)

(y - x) / xy * (x^2y^2) / (y^2 - x^2)

(y-x)xy / (y^2 - x^2)

(y-x)xy / [(y-x)(y+x)] = xy / (y+x)

9. 1 / (1/r + 1/s)

1 / (s/rs + r/rs)

1 / [(s+r)/rs]

rs / (s+r)

10. { (y-1 + y) / [y(y-1)] } / { (y -1 - 2y) / [y(y-1)]

(2y-1) / [y(y-1)] * [y(y-1)] / (-y -1)

(2y-1) / (-y-1)

Remember..

r^-1 equals 1/r which is the same for anything in parantheses, for question 9, just put a one on top of the sumation

also, to add fractions multiply by one to get a common denominator
i.e. 1/x + 1/y= (x+y)/xy because multiplied 1/y by x/x and 1/x by y/y

when you divide by fraction, it is like multiplying by its recipricol.

well i can tell you that # 8 is x+y.
x^-1 - y^-1 / x^-2 - y^-2
x^2 - y^2 / x - y
(x + y)(x - y) / (x - y)
(x + y) / 1
x + y
