Maybe not.
The universe has been trying to tell me much the same things all my life. My problem is I rarely listen, or only allow narrow areas for life to influence me.
At the moment I am not happy with how things are going. I am not sure how to shake things up. I may try being more conscientious, or maybe the opposite; and feel less guilty to please myself rather than others.
I know if I do not shake things up I will fall in the rut of despair.
Although things are going much more slowly than planned I have a pretty good life in many ways and I try each day to do something that brings my dreams a little closer.
Viewing Smolin's lecture online has been a dream come true. If you know of any other interesting online lecture or learning resources please let me know.
I eventually would like to set up an online university style schooling for children, with activities such as computer games that use muti-dimensional geometry. I have been fairly successful in the past teaching university content to primary school children.
I am currently seeking students and extra mentors for my mentoring program. Eventually I expect to set up an blackboard facility on my Uni4Kids.biz or KidsUni.com websites, so I can assist students in real time online.
Yahoo Answers has been another dream come true for me and I have greatly enjoyed the social and academic interactions
I pray that all our good dreams will come to pass over the coming year and onwards.

Hi Brother Third Pasamba; glad to see you back again here with us.
My computer is now limping along in XP-pro "Safe Mode"; time to get a new system soon.
For 2008, my goals are to convert many paper notes of mine into the computer, and organize everything to write some books on God-consciousness, Theology, spirituality, some philosophy and science that relates.
We hope to form another local Home-Family Christian Fellowship and Study Group here (a Chicago suburb) in 2008.
A few days ago, I have been given ownership of a 399 member Yahoo Group on Christian-philosophy, and I want to promote that. A link will be in my Profile here later.
Merry Christmas and a Happy and Productive New Year !
Peace and progress,
Brother Dave, a Jesusonian Christian Truthist
http://www.PureChristians.org/ Gospel enlarging website,
proclaiming worldwide the True Religion
OF JESUS and ABOUT JESUS and IN JESUS
Come and share !

While New Year’s Eve is typically a happy, festive occasion, many people look upon the New Year with solemn philosophy.

Not a new one for this year.. but an old one I figured out a while back.... about 10 yrs ago.. I noticed this thing people do about New Years resolution.. and I heard about how they kept breaking them... like stop smoking, or like losing weight.. always setting themselves up to do something they don't want to do... or feel they have to do.. and it was always negative... My actual first new years resolution to change my life was.. I'm going to smoke pot.... here is what I learned from that one new year's resolution...
that new years resolutions don't have to be negative and if they are not they are easier to keep...
that being kinder to yourself makes the rest of the year a better experience...
that pot takes the place of sleeping pills, traquilizers, anti-depressants and pain killers...
that told me doctors dont always have the solutions to life...
it taught me that only I can solve my life's problems....by doing something "taboo" in society can resolve things...
I learned that society isn't always right... which I learned a long time ago but somehow forgot...
I learned we have laws in our country that serve no purpose..
I learned that closed minds don't bring forward solutions
I learned many many many more things...
I learned that making my New Years resolution about something I want to do rather than something I feel I have to do did what a New Years resolution should... change my life...

Do the best you possibly can. Don't let life get you down, set yourself a goal and achieve it.
Made that up on the spot so may not exactly make sense =]

The truth is and God is! It was this way in the beginning and is will be for all time (John 1). What is new is the depth of our personal understanding of this truth and the extent to which this truth is manifested in love for God and our love for all of mankind.
Great love and blessings to you today and always!
