Our bad days are caused by US...not by others. People can be rude, true, but that does not mean I have to react to the rudeness. It is what I tell myself that determines whether I will have a bad day or not. If I expect to be happy and peaceful ONLY if others are nice or not rude, then I set myself up for failure. People are and will be rude..this is a fact of life. I accept that. As long as I am behaving in a way which helps me maintain my own dignity and self respect, it matters not what others do or say. We get to choose for ourselves.

Find someplace else to be...I don't want to appear rude and leave, because I'm really having a great time, but aliens have landed in the park and they've asked me for directions to the nearest hostelry planet. I"ll be right back when I am sure they are safe.

There is saying: Sticks and stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me. Simple but effective. Just take some alone time to relax. If people have been rude they are showing that they are insecure because they need to feel superior to some one

I discuss their rudness and make fun of their with my co- workers after the customer leaves and when there arn't any other customers in ear shot. It always gets us laughing. Some days are more amusing than others. You can't let peoples atittude problems effect you, bc it reflects back to the one nice person you encounter and offends them.
