what you need is an english teacher! Sorry, I know--to the point: I understand you have a sick child, and maybe its stressing her in different ways than you. Not to say you dont stress, you have to go back and keep working and pretend everything is normal. But we all grieve differently. I know you need affection/attention. We all do, but in these unique cirumstances, maybe give her a little slack?

She has a lot on her plate if she is having to be gonna all the time, she could possibly be building up resentment at the situation and sad for you that you are the one at the brunt of it...I don't know if that is true, but from what you stated that's my first guess as to why she shows you no affection...hope this helped.

talk with her.

she is probably under a lot of stress because of your sick little girl.

maybe she feels resentful? I know you didn't do anything wrong, but people sometimes get mixed up feelings, and react in odd ways.

i hope things work out.

She is not thinking of that with her stress. She is trying to deal with it. she needs time away before she will feel like that.
