It almost depends on the baby.I know that its hard to find out what personality a baby has when its in your tummy but sometimes books can help.Like my sister had a baby recently and she named him Spike at first I thought it was horrible but later I realized how much it suits him.Anyway here are some of the most popular names for girls and boys........
Male:
1 Jacob Emily
2 Michael Emma
3 Joshua Madison
4 Ethan Isabella
5 Matthew Ava
6 Daniel Abigail
7 Christopher Olivia
8 Andrew Hannah
9 Anthony Sophia
10 William Samantha
Female:
1 Emily
2 Emma
3 Madison
4 Isabella
5 Ava
6 Abigail
7 Olivia
8 Hannah
9 Sophia
10 Samantha

That depends alot on you. The name can make someone (likely in the family) feel special and help you and your child more. It can make your child stand out, like Roark or Elvis for a boy, to where they are unique and need no last name like a famous person.
It can identify their religion, like Mohomid, or Jesus.
All names have teasing, all names have nick names.
You might also want to conisider how it sounds when spoken by other cultures. Ailbe spoken by people that pronounce an l as an r sounds .... well ... you get the idea.
Don't give your daughter a stripper name like Bamby, or a name like Shila that means chick to an Aussy. Anything that ends in a y sounds small. Great for a baby, not great for an adult. Keep in mind they will be an adult much longer than they will be a baby.
I have never met a guy that like having the same name as his father. Junior is a sucky title.
Think of a name that you associate with mutliple people you would like your child to be like.

I love unique names. My name is Emerald. So that explains a bit. Here are a few I like (with alternate spellings).
Girls: Blossom, Ava, Juliet / Juliette, Leila / Lailah / Layla, Dana, Giselle, Scarlett.
Boys: Zephyr, Aiden / Ayden / Aden, Leo, Jay, Neeko / Niko.
I hope you don't have to many babies! Because I'll be wanting to use one of those names. Good luck choosing. If you do happen to like one of the names and you name your baby that I'd be so fascinated. =]

How about Britney like after your sister if it's a girl? Since she's your role model and all. Maybe Bryan if it's a boy after your brother. Or you could just go with Jamie since it's both your dad's and your name! ;)
LOL, it's funny how serious everyone is being! Catch on people!
