If there was a Cure for Mental Illness, how many jobs would suffer? Pharmasist, Prison Guards, Prosecutors, Defense Attorney's, Cops, Psycologists, Councelors. Can you name more?

There will still be plenty for these people to do - & there is no down side to curing mental illness; it would mean less homelessness (the number one reason for which is mental illnes) less poverty (people who can't function can't hold jobs) and a happier community overall

I'm the parent of a disabled adult.
I don't care how many people would be out of work as long as my son got to live life like the majority of the world does.

There probably is a cure for mental illness. But these assholes don't want to give out because millions of people would lose jobs. It's sickening though. You'd rather have people dying than men and women losing millions of dollars.

There won't ever be a cure. If the brain were simple enough to understand, we'd be too simple to understand it. Even still, it's all a lot of guesswork in lab coats. There's also too much $$$ to be made with it around. Enjoy your psychoses! :)

social workers...kiss the special olympics goodbye pretty much,companies federally funded...like lighthouse...that hire the mentally challenged for jobs,caregivers...no more short bus drivers,special ed teachers
