I will be glad to put away the decorations, dust the house, change the furniture around and wait for the first green bud on the trees and a small little dandelion to pop through the ground! Come Spring!

Yes, because people should really learn to celebrate the life and legacy of Jesus Christ 24/7/365!!!

All the hype and madness of seeing Christmas stuff in the shops for the past 3 months got a bit draining. But hey, the Boxing Day Sales have started today and they will be quickly followed by the January Sales (although they should be renamed to "The Week Before New Year Sales")
We'll then all be subjected to the Easter eggs in stores and Valentine's Day over-priced goodies!! LOL.
We are looking forward to Springtime when the crocuses and daffodils poke through the hard soil and bring some colour to our garden. We love watching Mother Nature re-awakening from her Winter sleep. New life. xx

I am very glad that it will be over very soon. All that inescapable saccharine music, all the chirpy family television programming, and the endless, endless stream of advertising. Every year I try to escape it, but even escape takes too much effort. Even if I had much money left at this point I would not go shopping on Boxing Day. I live in Toronto. We had a gang shoot out in a major shopping area a few years ago on Boxing Day. Several wounded and one totally innocent girl killed. Nothing could lure me to make that scene.

Whew! I'm so glad to hear that I'm not the only one! Winter is in full throttle here, but I'm glad that I have my small greenhouse to visit. I need to put on my boots and waddle through the snow to get there, but inside it is so colorful and warm. I received a few seed catalogs in the mail the other day, and once the new year begins and things are put away, I will start looking through those catalogs and begin my plan for the spring.

We actually had a really nice, low-key family Christmas, and as I didn't get my decorations up until last week due to the delay because of our ice storm, I am still not tired of them yet. I will leave them up until Jan 2, and then down they come and the house gets cleaned for the New Year. Then for me the holdays are officially over, and I can be looking for that new bud too (Hellebores blooming in a week or so, winter jasmine in Jan. and crocuses blooming at the end of the month, and a pink violet that blooms all winter long!)

I am glad it over. It's a great time of year and I like seeing the children so excited and happy. However, I am sick to death of the commercials on TV, the fact that TV is so lousy anyway, and the constant talk about Christmas. It would be OK if they didn't start before Halloween!!! They sure didn't have any good Christmas specials on this year either.

Yes, This is the best Christmas I've had in a long time. I had my son and his wife and 2 kids and my other 3 grandkids over and we had a wonderful fun time!! Got out the picture box and laughed and had so much fun!!! In answer to your question I am glad it's over when I hear the phone ring to hear them say they made it home safely!!!

Yes. We had a wonderful Christmas. But I'm glad it's over,
so I can get back to normal. We all had too much Christmas.

To answer your main question, no I'm not particularly glad Christmas day is over: we had a really nice one.
I agree with you though, I'm looking forward to the (theoretically) warmer weather of spring to arrive.

Yep, though I enjoyed it. Just want to get back into scruffy clothes, clear away the autumn rubbish to reveal the tips of spring bulbs. Its now 5 days since the shortest day...so its getting lighter bit by bit. But first, we have to get through today's family gathering....oh hum.

I am glad. I love the season. I work in a restaurant that is open Christmas day. We had some very rude people this year. I had one table where the little girl spilled her orange juice. She said her Daddy was going to spank her when they got. home..She was crying. ruined my day
