There are no Eskimos in Alaska, the Eskimo are a native people who lived in western Greenland and eastern North America. The people we often confuse with the Eskimo are Inuit, and they do live in Alaska.

It was derided as Seward's Folly, or Seward's Icebox, because the purchase was negotiated by Secretary of State William Seward, the only Cabinet officer wounded in the attack of April 14, 1865. The other government official attacked that night was President Lincoln of course.

The Aleutian chain forms the southern boundary of the Bering sea, and extends almost to Japan.

the Alaskan Pipeline is 800 miles long and has oil in it. Its the 48th state in the United States. Its cold there. There was a gold rush there in the 1800's. Its the biggest state of the U S. Eskimoes live there. Its close to The USSR. Its not contected to the US, its connected to Canada. Thats all I know without reading a book! Go read a book baby~!

It is simply wonderful to live here! I have lived in and visited many states and this is the best. We have clean, fresh air, clear, cold water, away from the cities it is quite and you can see all sorts of wildlife right outside your door. We don't have taxes and we get an oil dividend check yearly. People are more relaxed and less stressed here. There are only 3 highways in the entire state.

They carry guns on a public street. Some areas and cities are remote and require this kind of protection. Texans carry guns because they want to. That's a whole 'nother country.

I lived in AK for 2 long years,,,most drugged out,NON CALM,crimal state I have ever been too. Of course we were close to ANchoarge..I think AK is BY FAR OVERRATED.
