A semi formal is a nice special event in your life---one you will remember forever if it goes real nice. You have the formal soon?? I would suggest a beige or cream color--not white and definitely not black. Now the cream with an emerald green necklace and a complimentary evening bag--called a "clutch"--also cream with golden accents. Your nails?? a nice easy shade to go with the dress--NOT RED or Black--God don't go GOTH on us. A nice scalloped medium to tan, easy to walk in heels--NOT SPIKED. You will be fabulous. Lose the eye make-up and do a earth tone high liner with a bit of rouge on your cheeks. The hair should be washed--worn down with a curl to the edges--so get the split ends trimmed off. You will shine above the others, Stand tall--no gum chewing--walk elegantly--no ghetto talk--have a real nice time--and take pictures to remember the event. Next time you send a photo for ideas--do it normal--head to toe standing straight---what does the top of your head tell us. You don't show your figure at all--or your height---some stuff does NOT look right on short squat people--tall thin with a nice stature will look better in certain stuff. I am guessing at what i suggested...but I think I captured you really well. Let me know what you think. Thanks---God I hope your date is a nice respectable tall handsome man---no tattoos and piercings--don't go with somebody that looks like a bad fishing accident. And NO gang signs--you are a white girl !!

you have the same color skin, hair & eyes as me, so i'm just going to list all the colors that look best on me since they probably all will look good on you too. lol

WEAR :
- light pink
- any blues (turquoise is especially pretty!)
- cremes & golds
- cranberry -ish
- light yellow (no darks!!!!!)

DON'T WEAR:
- black (unless you want to look dark, which is fine if it's your style)
- orange
- bright pinks
- most dark greens
- browns
- whites

hope this helps lol

i have brown eyes and dark hair like you, with tanish skin.
Basically the same features.
I got a green dress for my prom and i loved it. It really brought out my skin tone and eyes.

A pale yellow. cause your hair is so dark and so are your eyes. I have the same color hair and eyes and everyone said i looked so pretty in a pale yellow.

To be honest, I'd keep your hair the way it is + some curls at the bottom. Chestnut brown is one of my favourite hair colours. I find when people change their hair colour, they go overboard and they end up looking... odd.

With your glossy hair and dark green eyes, I would go for blue.

Go with a highlighted chestnut sort of like this:
