What is it? Does the court need my signature? Is it a determined divorce without my signature? How long does it take? How will I know if I am divorced?

You need to talk to an attorney..

The laws are different in each state. If you really want to know what is going on, talk to an attorney.

It is not wise to seek legal advise from strangers with computers!

Good luck.

It depends on where you live. When I got my divorce it took 60 days for it be final and my attorney went to court on my behalf. I didn't have to sign the divorce papers, the judge granted it and he signed it. My attorney called on the day it was final and I picked the papers up and the ex got his divcorce papers mailed to him.

my understanding is that you'll need to sign the petition papers or they'll be served to you. You'll know it's finalized when you get the finalization papers (although you might have to buy them, like I did).
