Some come to acceptance, or say they do. I think mostly we are all 'freaking out about it' in our own individual ways. Even if it doesn't look like it. Some people prefer to not dwell on it.
Some stay very busy mentally.
Everyone has their own way.
Me, I stay in this very now moment. And I practice staying in this very now moment. It is all there is. Projecting into the future will not do me any good.
You know what might help you is to get involved in a hospice volunteer program in your community. This might help you come to terms with it in your own mind. Usually those on the way out can help others feel ok or better about it.
I'm a Chaplain. It's true. I don't know how it works, but it does.
Some don't look upon death as traumatic. Try having some conversations with them.

Because we never know when it will come. We all think we have a life-time left to live--even me, and I'm 78! I guess the quality of life is also dependent upon not focusing in on "our demise"! Of course, it can be a positive influence in terminal illness, when the doctors estimate that a person has "X" number of months or years to live. Then they can prioritize their goals for that period--that is, if, as you say, they don't freak out!

That's a really Good question.
But i won't say that I'm not afraid of it.
It's just that sometimes more u think about a same thing days after day after day u just don't do anything else than worry.
And it's not the right thing to do i think. And because u gonna die one day and u just have one life to live u just do with it..
U try to live ur best life and do the best u can do before the final day

We are sad about it somtimes especially if we lose a loved one but we should be strong and have no fear because we have purposes for living. We will never have this chance again to live here and there is a purpose for each one of our lives.Dying is nothing to be afraid of because this body is a temporary earth suit and we will leave this horrible place and go to a place where we will never die again . It will be a beautiful place and we will like it. Some poeple are freaking out about dying. there are people who are afraid of it and they put it out of thier mind but if they would deal with it with God then they could be free from fear and comforted.

I am not freaking out about it because I know when I die I am going to Heaven which is such a wonderful place and so much better than this world. I am looking forward to the day I can go and be with the Lord, but I don't look forward to the "getting dead" part as they say.

Cuz its a slow death...Its not like we know when it could take a long time or it could be tomorrow...but its inevitable so why freak out...dat all...If something like AIDS gets in you system or u can feel the pains of death coming, thats when we start to feel urgency because ur death is about to come faster. Thats the only time ppl start to think about death and when they get older.

There is a inate fear of death without the knowledge and peace of what happens afterwards.
The peace of knowing where you will spend eternity and why makes all the difference.

There's nothing you can do to prevent it so there's no point in worrying. Make the most of life while you're living it.
