I don't know if annoy would be the word I use. Enraged, to the point that I have actually seen spots, and a red haze. I was in this deli and a lady was preaching her religion to the owner, who was Muslim. She was trying to convert him! She wouldn't let up. Then she called his religion a cult, and went on how he was going to hell for false worship. I lost my temper. I am not Muslim, but I was offended for him. He was still trying to be nice to her, he didn't want to offend HER. I can't even remember what I said to that woman, but she left quick.
As far as the door knockers go, I leave my dog on the porch, and they can't get to the door. She is small, but she isn't afraid to bite trespassers.

I was talking to some friends about these people who knocked on my door trying to sell their religion and I told them I have my own religion thank you and I'm not interested to hear what they have to say.
Well a week later I'm working on my tractor and this guy comes up behind me asking about his religion and I lost it.
I tell him, "get the hell out of here and don't come back.
And instead of leaving he goes on and on about the Lord this and God that.
I through my tools on the ground and start towards the guy saying if you don't leave now, I'm gonna kick your.....
Well anyway when I told my friend they said that this guy's religion means you will go to heaven if you take verbal abuse or maby even physical abuse from someone.
You should have put this in R&S, maybe they know what religion does these things.

It is annoying, but it's not as bad as you say. I've never been called a bad person, or had them insist on pushing their beliefs after I tell them I'm a Christian. They simply leave. Try putting up a no soliciting sign.

Yes it does. I think that you can believe whatever you like, but do not push it upon any one else. Theology is an argument no body can possibly win. When someone says 'believe in god or you will go to hell' is like someone else say 'give me $100 a week and your store will be safe'. Blackmail.

I have kinda gotten used to it when I'm out in public, likea t the mall, I just tell them that i have my made my religious decision and it will not be changed, thank them and walk away, However, when I'm in my own home and have not invited them and they drop by to tell me about MY LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST, tht pisses me off. Last summer I bought a huge oversized black t-shirt that says in huge white block letters F*CK YOUR RELIGON. I never wore it out of the house, but I'd throw it on when I saw them coming. Stopped most convos about my religion before they even started.

i'm a Christian and that i trust area of what you mentioned. My faith is very own and no-one's corporation. there are a number of Christians that think of they have the best to push their ideals on somebody else, their excuse is the Bible tells them to realize this, to transform. The Bible would not say to be pushy and intrude with a guy or woman. whilst somebody does this to me, I tell them to stay out of my corporation, it quite is very own. a number of those anybody is knowledgeable with regard to the Bible, yet they have an inclination to overlook the Bible is amazingly, very sparkling with regard to the incontrovertible fact that we are to no longer decide and those anybody is very judgemental. some do think of they have capacity, it quite is their ego taking value.

Yes. In this country you have freedom of speech and religion, not the freedom to badger, harass or annoy.

i had a friend who didn't really have a religion . she really like supernatural things and i said i didn't like those and she insisted on making me like those things and i said i didn't and why i didn't . although i didn't want to push my beliefs onto hers it was kind of hard not to do so when she was doing so. and i hate when people say stuff about my religion it gets me really angry...
i try not to do stuff like that but its hard not to, when they are pushing their religion onto me.

My favourite is when you're working as a waitress trying to earn money the hard way, and instead of leaving a tip people will leave these cards that say "have you accepted jesus as your personal saviour? if not, let me help you with that!"
Grr......
