Yes and no. I have been working night shifts over Christmas in a young persons' hostel, and many of the residents have been lonely. But normally I see neighbours if I'm not working over Christmas.

Yes, I spent Christmas alone. I do not have any close family and some friends invited me - just to be kind, but I felt it would be intruding on their family-time to spend Christmas Day with them.

Me personally only enjoy a few friends but I would love to spend time with family and friends but I personally like to be alone.

I spent it with my children and grandchildren. It didnt matter how much laughter and excitement was in the air, I felt alone. I wanted my love to be there too, but it wasnt to be. A person can be around heaps of people but still feels alone....that was me.
