Would there be TEARS involved?

Would I be shocked? Certainly. Saddened? Most definitely. However, life goes on. I've seen people that shed more tears over the death of Princess Diana than they did for their own family members. Sometimes, I think we let our emotions get carried away. The things that affect me the most are ones that are much closer to my reality and not some celebrity driven world.

Well, the members of 3 of my favourite bands are all in their 60's, and have been making music for years.
But the 4th band have only been around for 10 years, and the lead singer is only in her 30's.

What I mean is this :~

Yes, I would be upset, but several of them have had good long lives. The others, I would feel more upset about, as they have so much more to give.

Either way, there would definately be tears!

When Dimebag died, there were a few tears involved. It was shocking and sad, especially due to the fact that it was on stage. I still think of it frequently while I am at shows knowing that there are psychos everywhere.

Now, I'd be sad and think it was tragic but I'm at the age where I know death comes before it should all too often.

When I was young, I did go into mourning for Randy Rhoads but I was in Jr. High.

My dad died in '98...I cried, My fiance/bass player's Mom was hit head on by a kid reaching for his bag of black tar that he'd dropped under the passenger seat, he crossed the line and she was killed on our street by the University in '99...we cried. His Dad went over a mountain and died on a Harley in 2006 and was memorialized at the same church on the same weekend as Hunter S. Thompson in Colorado......and he cried ....if it was a favorite band, (Randy Rhoades, Cliff Burton, Kurt Cobain, GG Allin, Stevie Ray Vaughan) I'd more than likely be in shock and dismay, but I don't cry unless lil' kids are dying from cancer or war...or when I'm getting ready for my dismal corporate job...jaded ol' me.

Can't express how I felt when John Lennon was shot.

I was working in a Deli when I heard Stevie Ray Vaughan died in a heliocopter crash. I nearly cut my finger on the meat slicer in shock of the news.

When Jerry Garcia died, I was sad, but it was not that much of a surprise :(

It's not that big of a deal...It gives you pause for thought, it doesn't make that much of an impact.

In the 1990s Alliyah, Lisa Lopez (from TLC), and Selena (the Tejano pop singer) died. I like these performers, and it gave me pause, but since I didn't know them personally, it was like oh well...that's life. Only their families will feel the pain.

I'd be stunned by the news, but I would garner the strength to pull through. No need for crying or tears.

If it were by a drunk driver, I at least would like to see justice for my band, and the driver held accountable be punished to the fullest extent of the law.
