No.

That would lead to chaos. Trust me, I know. I worked in a Games Room. I've seen what people do. If you give them money back for something like that, they come back and do it again and again.

That sort of thing would rip the film industry apart. Complain by all means, tell them they sucked in that movie. But if you refund the customer just because they didn't enjoy the movie they choe to watch, they'll say they hated a movie that they really enjoyed, just to get their money back.

Cinemas will lose all their money and close down. Movie makers will have a smaller audience to aim at, DVD prices will rise to make up for lost cinema customers and then no one will be able to afford to watch movies.

Well, that may be ott, but my point is that the term "the customer is always right" isn't exactly true. There has to be a line somewhere. And if you refund the customer for that, many people will abuse the system. "Money is the root of all evil", some people really can't get enough of it and will do just about anything to get it without actually earning it.

If you have not enjoyed the movie because it has been poorly put together then it is not the cinema's fault you didn't enjoy it, it is the people who made the movie. So in that respect you aren't entitled to a refund. However if people in the audience were being disruptive or the sound or visual quality weren't up to your expectations you are then entitled to a refund.

Definitely not! Seeing a movie does not garauntee you'll love it. It's going to the theatre and taking a risk that it may be great and it may be horrible that's the fun of it. I mean imagine a whole theatre coming out of a movie: why wouldn't you say it was rubbish and get your $8 back?? Think about it they wouldn't make a dime. It's called going on the internet and looking up reviews... they'll give you an idea of what a movie's like.

Okay, really, sorry to sound like a tirading little beotch, but come on.....

Maybe if you walk out of the theater during the first hour. After that, a refund should not be entitled.

How would a person a gauge that? I would say I hated everything that I saw, and I would want my money back. It is a risk that you take. And just because it is a bad film to you, does not suggest that it is bad for everyone. Would you want a refund if you read a bad book or hated your steak? Consumerism is a risk.

Ideally yes, but, practically, too many people would abuse the policy to see movies for free.
