Most Unbiased News Sources

Fox is a conservative station. I'm saying that as a moderate, not a liberal. I have liberal views and conservative views that I have developed from researching the issues from all sides. Do not trust what you read on the internet as far as journalism since it's unregulated and often, you don't know who is writing it, especially if it's a blog. I guess CNN can be balanced, but it does have some left leaning programming. Also, try ontheissues.org if you want a political website since it just documents a politicians voting record and the things he/she has actually said. You can also watch PBS and BBC. A wide range of sources will get all the views and facts covered. If you watch Fox, you'd better watch something else too in order to get a "Fair and Balanced" take on the news.

It used to be the Wall Street Journal. Their Editorials had an unsurprising Business Right slant. But people in business pay for the straight dope and that's what they delivered--pure and unvarnished, in the news section.

Now that the Journal has become part of the Murdoch Empire, it's degenerating into "Fox Business Journal."

So I really couldn't point you to one good source. The best way is to read from a lot of different sources, learn their slants and compensate for them.

Or, if you're in a hurry, you could watch BBC World News.

MCR is right about Fox. They sued youtube for "copyright violations" because users were documenting how quickly they changed their stories when the facts caught up to them.

Unlike CNN, Fox News just reports the News without ideology. The commentators on Fox however, will have a political ideology and or agenda. Their views range from Right Wing Hannity to Libertarian Stossell and liberals like Geraldo and Juan Williams who was fired from PBS for his honest feelings about thug behavior.

For straight news, the BBC and the Christian Science Monitor are good.

HOW are people even suggesting that msnbc is left wing????? Tucker Carlson, Buchanan, Scarborough, Lou Dobbs?? Are you freaking crazy, would you blindly jump off a cliff for Oreilly????

Anyway, NPR and Bill Moyers, by far, the most educated and in-depth analysis of any news source.

btw, Fox news is the most slanted news you could ever find, right after the AS^&%@@'s at al jazeera, If you don't believe me, search for the internal memos at fox, they basically tell the staff how to spin the daily news.

BBC is good
Mostly you have to unfortunately read news from many sources and then put it all together to get a well rounded idea.
If that means fox news, bbc, cnn, al jazeera... all of it.
then you will be more informed and knowledgeable than anyone who just uses one sourse especially just one televised source.

hahah Fox News,, lol that is very far from unbiased and credible. They are republicans, by republicans for republicans!

Although it is good to watch for the republican version of "news" you have to balance it with other sources as well.

The MSM are corporate BS. They do have accurate reporting on Brittany Spears. Go to libraries and read books. Learn history, math, science.

The web is a good source for information, but cross reference what you read. Never accept one point-of-view.

Above all read 1984 and Animal Farm by George Orwell and you will learn more about the nature of government than you believed possible.

www.salon.com has a great blog by Glenn Greenwald who exposes the lies of the MSM and both political parties.

All news sources are biased in their selection of stories they consider newsworthy, so to get a balanced view of what is happening in the world the Internet is the best source, so you can select news you think is important and worth following. Presenting two partisans debating a trivial issues while neglecting more important stories is what passes for "balanced" on the TV new channels.
