Both my parents died right after Christmas, That was me and my moms favorite time of year. So I guess what I miss the most is my mom and all the special time we would spend together at this time of the year, shopping, eating out, and just talking to her.

I love the day seeing my son get all excited and being with family but then when it's all over and everyones in bed I remember this could be my boyfriends last christmas as he has cancer and it really scares me that my little boy could grow up with out his daddy and I could be alone!

I feel sorry for you I hope you find someone special to spend it with soon!! xx

Merry Christmas Everyone!! xx

Probably the fact that it gets so built up that you want everything to be absolutely perfect and cram-packed with fun.... then come the day, you get up late because you're hungover from Christmas Eve and then you sleep all afternoon because you're so full from dinner!! ;-)

Although this year, the worst thing was that my sweet little hamster didn't make it to her 3rd Christmas with us. She died last Tuesday :,-(

well, to put it bluntly....

eating a Christmas meal that in total would feed half of Africa
and I mean really overindulging to the point of excess( eat till you can feel your stomach, intestines and liver swelling up against your skin)

then

drink the equivalent of the annual wine harvest of France, daceing liberally with ample shots of vodka, rum & brandy( in that order) whilst scoffing bag after bag of wine gums

after

gather all your family and relations ( those still with the slightest hint of life within them) in a drunken, flatulant ( those sprouts can really rip it out of you) raucous rabble
goad them into a riotous mood, baying for drink in a way old the ancient vikings only knew
and lead a hedonistic crusade into the nearest town center for an orgy of debautchery, mass drinking competions and vile, explicit acts of carnal nature until the new year dawns...!

then resume life as normal and go back to a mundane job as if nothing happened...

Being a Non-Christian and having religious music in the shops! Also the fact that almost everything is shut. The best thing is the Christmas telly though!! I love it!!!

more than being alone, i would 'hate' being completely upset or having got into an arguement, as it might be a crappy horrible xmas/day in a heated, stressful situation. ) :
if your alone, think 'Home Alone' id be free, relaxe and have a party. the thing is theirs always people/ friends you know who can be with you and their is always more people to meet and somebody friendly who would enjoy your company...

overeating and then having to clean up the mess of the food and presents. Taking down all the lights and decorations that seemed fun when I put them up. Hanging out on yahoo because everyone else is taking a nap so they won't have to help me.
