The word has not been accepted officially as "proper" English, but accept it or not, it is here.
I believe it will eventually become a working word in spite of the Word Police. It serves an appropriate function in some circumstances and when you consider how we have butchered the English here in America, it just doesn't seem to be all that big a deal.
I for one, ain't gonna' change the way I talk because of a bunch of pantywaists.

yep, I live in an area with a high population of chavs and seem to have picked up on some of their language, I do punish myself if I catch myself doing it though.
