I had this guy friend who I really liked and the way he was around me and with me he seemed to like me too, so after a while I wrote him a message on myspace and told him that I liked him as more that a friend. Then you can tell when people have read the message you sent them, so when I checked I noticed he had read and I waited a few days and he never answered me, so I sent him another one saying that I hope I didn't ruin any firendship we had by telling him how I felt. He wrote me back and said that he was just really busy at the time and didn't have time for a gf. Did he really mean that or was that just a way of telling me he didn't like me?

Well, even if it IS rejection, he doesn't want a girlfriend. He may be gay(?) or has a secret gf, normally when guys say that they are having too much fun with their friends to cater to a girlfriend. I know I had too much fun to have a bf when I was younger, you don't want to have to tell someone where and when you'll be at who's ahouse and who will be there. A gf/bf is kind of like another parent only with more anchorage. Don't worry about it, but the internet(particularly Myspace) is the wrong!! place to do that. Try another approach in a few months-maybe when you two hang out with other friends at a lake or something like that get him alone somehow grab his hand and kiss him(wherever you an reach), if he likes you he'll allow it, if not, you can just say you had to get that out of your system. It may also help him find wether or not he does like you!

It is not that he does not like you, but it most likely means that he just isn't interested in that type of a relationship. As a suggestion, talk to him in person as opposed to messaging him on myspace. In my opinion online messaging is a horrible way to show someone how you feel about them. You might have a much better chance next time if you talk about it face to face.

That was a way of telling you he didn't like you. Think of a guy, whom you don't like - but, at the same time, you knew he really liked you and you didn't want to hurt his feelings when he came out and told you...you'd do the same thing. I mean, you might not have said the exact same words has he did - but you would've gone into preventive measures so you wouldn't hurt his feelings.

Sorry. He doesn't like you the way you like him because a guy is always ready for a girlfriend when a right girl comes along.

By the way, guys are hunters and they like to be the ones who persuade girls, so next time hold your horses and let a guy to show his feelings first. Good luck!

I'd say your best bet is he's telling the truth. That's what it seems like to me and choosing to believe that will only hurt you less. For now, trust him, repect his decision and hopefully you can take it further in the future.

I really don't understand how some one is too busy for a gf....what happens when he gets married when he gets too busy is he going to get a divorce......

The only way i understand this is if the girl is way to needy...some folks don't have time for that...

Hmm hard to tell. Maybe he really doesn't like you or maybe he was too busy. Chances are if he did like you back he wouldn't wait to tell you...so maybe he's just not interested in a girl friend. You should ask him if you're not afraid to! Better to ask then be in doubt.

Dear flamingo. I reckon your male friend is trying to tell you he does like you, but as a friend, and is trying to tell you nicely he doesn't want to take the relationship further at the moment, ease off for now and give him time if he wants to take it further he'll let YOU know. A.T.B....... HERB.

If people spent the all their writing time lying to each other, nothing would be done. You opened the door, he responded. So now you are complaining??

It could be that he is telling the truth. Especially since it took him so long to get back to you. Don't worry, at least he reply-ed. If he didn't then I would have worried about ruining your friendship.
