if i get a regular atx size motherboard will it fit? anyone know? is it also possible to just replace the motherboard and keep everything else? minus the video card anyway... any help appriciated :D

Its says form factor is "Tower". But photos here seem to indicate a mini-tower with a micro- ATX board.

Better check if you have about 12.5 inch space from bottom of power supply to bottom of case. ATX boards are usually 12 inches long.
Power supply of that PC is typically a proprietary 305W. You may have to change power supply too.

The fact that you have a Dell creates some problems.

First, Dell is a company that often uses proprietary parts. In other words, they are parts specifically designed so you have to buy THEIR components, and nobody else's.

Most likely, the power supply in this unit is as such, requiring you to not only buy a new motherboard, but also a new powersupply in order for it to work properly.

Your best bet would be to just buy a different case, along with a power supply, to install this into. Then the rest of the components should be standard and work with the new motherboard.
