If young girls (past young childhood) are dumb enough to look up for them, then they are probably the perfect role model for them. If they look up to them as a young child then it's the parents fault for letting that happen. People like brittany spears should not be allowed to be on Extra, E, etc. just because she is like a little kid the more publicity and attention she gets the more she is going to do to top her own actions.

Isn't it ridiculous that all of Hollywood seems to think that we value all of their opinions on everything, and what they say is all good.....They endorse a religion and everyone should follow, they endorse a Politician and everyone should cast a vote for that particular person... Money in abundance has given them the God personality...BUT of course U can't blame everything on them totally; because many of us as parents have failed our children long before they were influenced by the stars...These girls were failed by their parents, and it's a real shame to society. Their talents could be used for so many positive things yet they throw it all away for self fame indulgence....

I think your stats are wrong more than half of America sees Britney as a F-up. Most girls role modes are imperfect in some way no matter who they are you just need to explain to young girls that, that is no way to act or behave.
Christina is married, pregnant and in control of her life.
Beyonce is just sexy. What's wrong with that?

It's wrong when a girl looses herself in another, and can't find herself. I don't see anything wrong with a girl wanting to chase their dreams, and if it's being a singer, model or actress then who else do they have to choose? Of course, parents should encourage children to follow their own path, and teach them the value of a clean body, and healthy lifestyle.

They are not role models.
They are just people, and in Britney’s case, she is just a person who has made some really bad choices.
Also, I think Christina is a talented artist who produces music from the heart and she has made a lot better choices than Britney, but still she is one person, just trying to make music.
Christina is trying to be true to herself.

Don't forget Paris Hilton and her porn tape, Vanessa Hudgens and her naked pictures, Ashley Tisdale's nip slip, Lindsey and Hilary's fight over Aaron Carter, and Jamie Lynn Spear's pregnancy. Young celebrities are out of control.

They aren't role models to me or my younger sisters... And I agree America needs to stop paying attention to people with negative stories (Brittney) and pay attention to what is important (education, the on-going war, health care..)
