The Antithests are trying to rename Christmas, So they can take out the "Christ" part, so it doesn't have anything to do with Jesus. Even though, Christmas is the date of the birth of Jesus Christ. They want Christmas to be all about Santa Clause and not have anything to do with Jesus.

I don't understand why people have to go pull crap like that. If you don't believe in a holiday, don't celebrate it. There's no need to censor it from everyone else because you don't believe it. People need to find better things to do with their time, instead of renaming holidays that don't apply to them.

That's a myth. Xmas is actually a Christian abbreviation, from the Greek initials "XR" "Chi Rho" which was an early Christian symbol for "Christ."

And even atheists aren't lame enough to just use "mas."

And December 25th isn't the date of Jesus birth, which Bible scholars place in the early fall or late spring. Winter Solstice festivals are pretty much standard in every part of the Northern Hemisphere. Early missionaries chose the date to co-opt those festivals. Many Christian Holidays, customs and symbols were stolen so that converts could continue to worship in the times and ways they were accustomed to--making the transition easier.

You really should learn something about this stuff. Blatant ignorance is never convincing.

From what I've heard, December 25th is not the day Jesus was born.
Actually, the Christians just invented it to take away from a Pagan holiday that was around that time.
Poor misguided little Christians...

Let the atheists call Dec. 25th whatever they want. We Christians know what the day signifies and that's all that matters.
