Is it a brand of computer or a different type of computer? We got one for my Dad and i just need to know if there it varies in it's operation. Thanks

it is just another brand of computer. I bought 3 last year for various family members. No problems they are still working great!

It's a low end brand of computer that's made by Acer. Acer owns e-machines and Gateway now and they put out e-machines as their budget brand.

e-machine is a trademark by Gateway, basically it is like any other commercial mainstream desktop computers. It may come with unwanted services such as AOL but they can be uninstalled.
