i just got an xbox 360 for christmas and i have it set up in my room..i have a mac laptop up here also, my computer is downstairs along with the modem..i do not have a router i just pick up a wireless connection from somewhere else onto my laptop. is there any way that i could set up xbox live wirelessly through my laptop? or anyway without having to buy an expensive xbox wireless adapter? if so how

Hmm...you could possibly hook it up via ethernet cable to your Macbook(if they have ethernet ports) and try it that way. Im not 100% sure if that will work though.

The wireless adapter seems like the only option im afraid.

Let me give you one word of advice before setting up: Even though xbox live is great, it can easily take over your life and ruin your social one if you don't play with limits. Seriously, i have lost many friends as all they do is sit infront of their xbox instead of going out. Have fun.
