how do you feel when something is out of your control?

sometimes, depending on what it is, i either give up completely or work 10 times harder. have you ever read the serenity prayer? it helps me in my recovery but its also a universal prayer for anyone facing a situation out of thier control.

God, grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
the courage to change the things I can;
and the wisdom to know the difference.

I make the best of a bad situation. There are many tings over which we have no control like the weather; the stock market; getting older; developing a serious illness etc. I look at the situation, and if there is something I can do about it OK. If not, I accept it and move on.

I feel powerless, and helpless as well. It's not a good feeling to be dependent on others to determine something that has or might have an effect on you at a later time.

When something is out of my control I tend to feel like ish...but heres the thing...if it falls into the hands of someone who you can trust then I usually feel good

I yell at them and if that is not enough I call they cops and ditch that party
