I have SSH secure file transfer program, but I have no idea how to use it. How do I transfer my files?

The quickest and easiest way is to use a flash drive, such as the SanDisk Cruzer, which you can get a 1 or 2 GB (if you're lucky) for 20 bucks.

I would also use the great backup program that comes with Windows Live OneCare. You can Google Windows Live OneCare, go to their site, and download a 90-day trial for both your PCs. Back up with that... it's the best program I've used so far.

To my experience, backing up through a network is a bit of a hassle.

Each program has Help files, please access them and read up on how to perform the steps required to use that particular program to transfer your large files.

There are other methods for transfering data between an old computer and a new one. One is the Easy Transfer Cable which you can purchase from any local electronics store, or Online. It is by far the easiest method of transfering files and settings using the Files and Settings Transfer Wizard.

Other options include putting them on removable media, and using your existing network connection. The network connection should be wired, but I think you can also do it wirelessly, but would be taking a risk of lost data if you lost the connection.

email if that dosent work put it into a ziped folder (this will make it a smaller file size untill you unzip it) then email it
