The graphics card I want to get: Saphhire ATI x1950 Pro AGP

My PC Specs:

Also, I am going to buy a new power supply for my computer, will a 500w power supply be sufficient for the card?

After a quick Google search for pictures, I would say yes, if it is a tower system (e.g. the computer itself looks like this http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.techexcess.net/images/products/dell/dimension-8300-barebone.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.techexcess.net/dell-dimension-8300-desktop-pc-barebones-system.aspx&h=220&w=292&sz=7&hl=en&start=1&um=1&tbnid=7cIy9W1D8KZD0M:&tbnh=87&tbnw=115&prev=/images%3Fq%3DDell%2BDimension%2B8300%2Bagp%26svnum%3D10%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN )
If it were a smaller system, then you would definitely want to check if the video card can physically fit in it.
Depending on what you use the system for, the specs seem fine for somewhat older games like World of Warcraft.

And yes for the second question as 500watts is typically enough, but you may want to also look into power supply reviews as well since not all power supplies are created equally. I've been hearing that Seasonic made supplies tend to be reliable as far as accurate/stable power ratings (often times Antec uses them as their own products but just puts there own name brand on them).

Happy Holidays, btw!

Yes, it should because your PC has an AGP card currently installed in it. X 1950 Pro AGP consumes up to about 70 watts. Even a 450W power supply with dual +12V rail won't have any problem powering it all day long.

If you want DX10 as part of your upgrade, you might want to consider ATI HD 2600XT AGP.

If you want to use that card all you have to do is make sure that you have an AGP slot. If you have one, just stick the card in there. As for the power supply, 500W should be plenty enough for the card.

No AGP card can cope with Crysis on excessive settings. i've got have been given an AGP gadget myself and that i will assert from journey that it in simple terms won't be able to cope with the video bandwidth desires of maximum extra modern-day video games. i at the instant upgraded from a BFG GeForce 7800GS to a Sapphire HD 3850, or perhaps however the overall performance boost develop into dramatic it nevertheless in simple terms enables medium settings on Crysis. different video games like HL2, F.E.A.R., Left 4 ineffective, Quake 4, and such get extra effective consequences (HL2 and L4D run superb maxed out), yet Crysis, UT3, and Gears of warfare are nevertheless very heavy on the gadget (they run extra effective than on the 7800GS yet nevertheless in simple terms employing reasonable settings). in case you prefer to max out each thing modern-day (or perhaps in simple terms 'excessive' particularly of 'very excessive' or 'extremely') you will choose PCIe. there is not any escaping that. The AGP HD 3850 is good, as are the AGP 7800GS and 7950GT, yet PCIe is what maximum present 3-d video games choose. On ideal of that the Athlon sixty 4 3000+ interior reason old. i've got have been given an Opteron a hundred and eighty (socket 939 2.45GHz twin-middle), or perhaps it is exhibiting its age. An AGP improve could be extra fee-effective, yet saving up for a clean PCIe gadget (SLI or Crossfire) may be the only thank you to run each thing modern-day on 'excessive' settings.
