If the wireless connection you want to hook up to has encryption which is shown by a lock icon in the View available wireless networks dialog box, then you can't connect unless you enter the keycode which is actually called a password for WEP and a passphrase for WPA or WPA2. The same goes for any business wireless connection it just uses a different encryption, but if it says it needs a passphrase or password then you must provide it to connect.

Sorry to report bad news, especially on a holiday, but it is what it is, and there isn't any changing facts. Please have a nice holiday season.

if it has a wep encription you have to have the code to access the hotspot.You would have to put the code on there, it wouldnt have one stored already
