I have a long list of emails that are all in one cell of an excel page. Is there a formula I can use so that it seperates each addresses (which are followed with a comma and a space) into seperate fields so it can be a sortable list?

Thanks much in advance

You should be able to just do Data - Text to Columns, select delimited and then tick both comma and space and it will get rid of both. To sort them either copy and past special transpose to put them into a column and sort with the buttons or highlight the cells and click Data - Sort and then click Options and change the Orientation to Sort left to right.

first of all you want ot get rid of the spaces
-click edit
-click replace
-in "find what" box hit the space bar once
-click replace all

then
-click on the cell
-click data
-click text to columns...
-make sure delimited is chosen and click next
-make sure the check mark is next to comma (and not Tab)
-click ok
-click finish

that should do it.

create a macro and press record
and enter a comma after one email and press stop.

then remove that comma and select all the emails and run that macro again

then you can sort
