Anyone ever drop their laptop or spill a liquid on their pc keyboard?
Did you manage to save it? Did it die?
Did YOU do it & then kick yourself? Did some clumsy-a.ss friend or relative do it? Kids? You 'accidentally' opened a bad email?
Grrr!

i see you're in a disaster kind of mood today, Fonzie, what with all the "Xmas mishaps", "lost stuff" and "Laptop accidents".. haha.
I was once watching a movie on the DVD player of my laptop (in my bed), and fell asleep halfway through and forgot to put my laptop away. Around 5:00 A.M. I heard a loud "THUMP!". I had accidentally knocked the PC off the bed.. Lucklily, nothing happened to it.. but that was frightening. It was brand new at the time

When the BBC microcomputer was new (over 20 years ago) some kids stole one from the school where I taught. They clearly didn't know what to do with it and it was found in a muddy puddle on the nearby common a couple of days later.
We rinsed it thoroughly, allowed it to dry and it worked perfectly though, later, it began to develop faults due to corroded contacts.

Well, when we first got this PC, the two burning programmes 'fought', and one had to be removed!
And in only 18 months, I have managed to burn-out two disc drives! Fingers crossed for no.3 ...!

Your described scenario is exactly why I am not "allowed" to have a Laptop, it is something I would eventually do to it (or so I am repeatedly told)..PS I am not a kid despite calling myself girl, I am only a "child" of the 70's

ummm... ididnt, but my brother spilt mountain dew on the keyboard and screwed it up once. and i kinda cracked our monitor moving it one day. it sill works somehow.
