I bought a suit from this store the other day and it was too big. I was going to keep it but then I decided to exchange it for another size. The problem is I already wore it (kept the tags on It.) and I work in an environment with a lot of smoke. The jacket now smells like smoke and I need to return it. I can't wash it because then I won't be able to return it.

This is not due to high retail prices. This is due to me not being able to try the jacket on in the store because my child was hungry. She was hungry because we waited 3 hours to see santa. This is due to Santa. I actually want to return it for a smaller size.

Fabreeze works good, and airing them out works also.

Place garment in the dryer. Place one or more dryer sheets inside of dryer according to strength of smoke smell, using more dryer sheets for a stronger smoke smell. Turn on the dryer. Tumble garment with dryer sheets for about one minute. Take out and smell. If there is still a hint of smoke, you may repeat.

The stronger the scent of the dryer sheet, the quicker the smoke smell will come out. The dryer sheet sucks the smoke smell out of the garment and into itself.

Alternatively, hang the garment securely on a hanger and place it outdoors for several hours. Choose a spot where the garment will get well-aired but not damaged by the elements.

spray it with fabreeze.

and next time please realize that trying on your suit jacket to assure you get the proper size is far more important than getting your hungry child home to feed her! psssttt...people!

And Santa?? come one?? you want to make sure your child is fed but you feel it just fine to lie to her about a fat man in a red suit brining her presents each year???

yeah I say fabreeze the jacket and please don't make this mistake again!

This is the cause of high retail prices....

I know you won't agree with me, but I feel like if you wore it, you should keep it.

There's nothing wrong with it, you just changed your mind.... not fair to the retailer.

use a steam iron if you have one... instead of water pour some fabric softener diluted with water and stream it all over...
