This is good for busy couples and we do it on occasion. Spontaneous is great, but life's troubles always get in the way and moods change which kill the moment. The anticipation of having an intimate time set aside is great. The plotting and being able to tell someone in advance what you plan to do to them can really get both people really worked up! I love it.

Actually sitting down and saying "Okay, at this day and time we will have sex..." always kind of weirded me out. Very busy couples should carve out some time each day/week/month to spend together and if it ends up as a sexual encounter then so be it.

spontaneous is still the best, planning means you know its coming and you wont be as receptive as you would if you just had a chance encounter like just sneaking into the shower or something, i never plan, if it happens, it happens

I'm okay with it! When we have it planned, I get anticipation throughout the day, and when we finally get to it, it's great!

Sometimes it is needed so that is what we do. It is not preferable but it is perfectly fine. It is better than none at all.
