If you can get enough Legos to build an actual house, more power to you. Insulation may prove to be a problem, but if you can put the insulation between to layer of block, you may be able to make it work. Be sure you have a good plan for building your lego house! The doors and windows may be harder to figure out, but if you are ready for the engineering challenges, go for it!

Legos. Definitely. Easy to assemble and reassemble. Made of strong durable material that can also be used for conducting solar energy. Made of recycled products. I say yes. Go for it. Might take a little longer to dismantle and reconstructing but think of all the fun you'll have.

I think that would be an excellent idea. Just make sure to buy the BIG jug of super glue.

No cards, Lego's may make your girl think your childish while cards make you determined and steady.

Grass clippings would be better and you could use mud instead of glue it's cheaper and more fun. Get your wife our gf to help with the mud.
