I just recieved a 1mm beading cord for Christmas, and am having a few issues getting it to knot because of how slippery it is. Does anyone have any hints or knots I could use so that the jewelry I'm making doesn't keep coming apart every time I use it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

NOTE: The ends of the cords are not unraveling, I'm just having trouble making no slip knots because the plastic cord is so slick. :) Thanks, though!

There are several sites on which they show fishing knots, often those are also good for beading string.
On this site you can find animated instructions:

If you want to use a simpler knot, you can try a drop of glue on the knot so it will not come apart. (But test the glue on a left over bit, so you know it will not melt the plastic.)
As we do have different brands from what you use I can not name a glue that will work.

I wish I could show you this in person, it's easier to show than describe:
Take a small bead and put the thread through it. Bring the thread back through and tie a knot. Bring the bead up to the desired loop size and put a drop of super-glue in the bead hole. Cut the excess thread off and proceed with beading after the glue is dried.

Good luck and happy beading--oh the loop will allow for whatever clasps you choose to use.

Perhaps you need "crimps;" those little bead things that squash to keep things put. Ask at a beading shop.

Use jewelers glue or a very small amount of superglue on the knot
Won't go anywhere!

Secure the ends with a little bit of cellophane tape, it will hold it together so you can work with it.
